From August 17 to 19, the series of activities for the inauguration of Suzhou Semiconductor Laser Innovation Institute and the launching ceremony of Taihu Lake Photonics Center hosted by the Management Committee of High-tech Zone was held grandly, and the Laser Sensing and Internet of Things Industry Forum on the 18th was successfully held as the high-profile forum of this event. Invited to attend the event, Wu Xianguang, General Manager of Aifushi, discussed new breakthroughs and new applications of semiconductor laser industry with more than 100 experts, scholars and enterprise representatives, and provided new ideas to realize the innovation of localized semiconductor laser industry.
The photonics industry is one of the representative industries of the information age, and it is timely to vigorously develop the photonics industry. The construction of the Taihu Lake Photonics Centre is a major platform such as a national innovation centre and a national key laboratory that Suzhou is actively striving to create on the basis of the large number of national high-tech enterprises already in place, to build a world-class photonics innovation centre and create a 100-billion-dollar photonics industry innovation cluster.
The event included several forums where a number of renowned scholars, experts and entrepreneurs were invited to share cutting-edge technology developments, innovative research results and applications. While the Laser Sensing and Internet of Things Industry Forum forum focused on important areas such as the laser sensing and IoT industry in China in the new era, based on the construction of the semiconductor laser industry in Suzhou, various experts and industry leaders discussed laser sensing and IoT innovation achievements, profoundly analysed industrial development opportunities and depicted development prospects in order to promote talent exchange and jointly promote collaborative innovation.
In the forum, Wu Xianguang gave a speech on the topic of "3D vision sensing in rail transit". He introduced the basic situation of automatic ticketing systems in the rail transport industry, where passenger injuries and ticket losses are the most important problems to be solved. The latest generation of 3D vision pass module launched by Aversys uses optical sensing to capture passenger behaviour more accurately, collects big data and optimises products for positioning, measurement and identification through continuous deep neural network learning. Dynamic adjustment of the safety zone of the sector door can be achieved based on the speed and trend of passenger or object passage prediction information. More accurate recognition judgement, more comprehensive scene pre-setting and safer passenger passage!
This technology based on visual sensing can integrate the humanity of the service into the experience of using the product, building a human-centred intelligent travel, providing a better solution for improving the safety and intelligence of public services. At present, Aversys is leading the industry in the use of this visual sensing technology, with entire metro lines in China already in full practical use and pilot use in several cities.
In the future, Aversys will continue to work on the application of this technology in the rail industry and draw a new blueprint for the development of the industry!
